Elephants Ear

105mm :: ISO 200 :: 0.8s at f/11

My daily photo posts have quickly turned into weekly posts. Didn’t take long. Today I wanted to try and get back on track. Finding a macro photo subject is pretty quick and easy if I don’t want to venture out of the house for a shot (lazy).

I used a spray bottle and some water to get the droplets. I had to dust the leaf too… It’s pretty incredible what the 105mm Nikon picks up. The waxy consistency of the Elephants Ear leaves reflect a lot of light. If i’d spent a little more time on the composition I might have reduced the shine in the top half of the image. Probably could have reduced the aperture a little more to get a consistent focus across the image.

I am content with the imperfections.
